Samuel Seth Kenguru

Artist: My name is Samuel Seth Kenguru. born along the shore of Lake Victoria. I started drawing at the age of 5, from there I have never stopped. After my high school studies I went to college to study business. Upon the completion of my studies I realized that I can’t overcome the urge to paint. Soon I was back to my brushes and canvas.

Wildlife is my preference but also I am good in portraits. I normally use acrylic and oil colors, pastel, colored pencils and charcoal. I have my paintings on permanent display at Belgium King’s collection in Brussels, also in 1996 I painted portraits of Hillary Clinton. The paintings were taken to the USA by the then first lady and upon reaching home both Bill and Hillary wrote a letter of appreciation that they were a reminder of Africa. In 1999 I painted a portrait of the late Mwalimu J. K. Nyerere and donated it to the Common Wealth-Health Secretariat in Arusha for the charity walk they organized, also you can see my work in the book “Art in Tanzania 2001″ and in “Maasai L’etiffe Rouge” by Etienne Van Den Dissected/Fancois Filcher. I have also my table indicating my Art exhibitions at different places in Tanzania.
